Bottom line
The K18 is a budget multi-mode RF tool with a meaningful calibration and false-positive tradeoff. We are not presenting it as a default purchase while its current shipped-order return signal is under review; readers who need a simpler lens-first check should compare the SpyFinder Pro instead.
What an RF detector can tell you
An RF alert means there is radio activity nearby. It does not identify the source or prove that the source is a camera. Phones, routers, Bluetooth accessories, televisions, and neighboring networks can all produce alerts.
To make an RF sweep more useful, reduce nearby interference where practical, lower sensitivity as you approach a signal, and visually identify the source before drawing a conclusion.
What it can miss
An RF workflow is not a substitute for lens inspection. Cameras can be wired, switched off, or recording locally without transmitting. A slow visual sweep and lens-based check cover a different problem than an RF scan.
